I used it with a Compaq IPAQ and my laptop and mapopolis. This is a great product for adding GPS capability to your laptop or PDA or phone that has blue tooth. It works, as long as you move about five feet, so it can pickup your direction. I've had this for probably a couple of years now. I don't use it all the time, but when I do, it always works well.
It is very precise in its coordinates. I use this with my iPaq 1945 PDA along with iGuidance software for a navi system in my car.The setup is very simple, just follow the booklet word for word. Great product. I used it for about 15 trips now, and it hasn't dropped a signal on me yet. The battery life is great, it really does last about 8 to 9 hours w/o charge. The signal takes about 10-15 seconds to acquire, after that you can stash this little thing pretty much anywhere in the console of your car.
It is very tiny yet it gets a 9 satellite lock from inside my center console. The only trouble I had involved getting it to pair up with the Palm but that may have been the Tom Tom software acting up. Choosing a bluetooth GPS is kind of a tough decision, you aren't quite sure if everything is going to be compatible or not and you definitely don't want to have to buy more than one because one didn't work. With this and your Palm or Pocket PC you never have to worry about getting lost. Just keep at it and it will work, took me a few minutes and I had to pair the devices a couple times and keep restarting the software. Well fear not. This unit works great with my new Palm T|X and Tom Tom 5 software, software sold separately of course.
The gps work perfect.i install software in to the pc and the palm and work perfect
I've tried several GPS programs and all of them work fine with this receiver. Satellite reception from cold start is very quick, usually within less than one minute. I've an i-mate JAM and bought this Holux to use it with it.This product is excellent. Setting up the bluetooh connection was straight forward, both on the imate and on an ipaq.
